Life in Tianjin

Located in Northern China, Tianjin is a large industrial city just 30 minutes by fast train southeast of Beijing. While it is an industrial hub, Tianjin offers much more, including lower pollution levels compared to Beijing, despite occasional challenges. The city is renowned for its rich history of European concessions, featuring a remarkable collection of late 19th-century European architecture, making it a unique destination in China.

The International School of Tianjin (IST) is seeking a full-time Visual Arts teacher for both the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and the Middle Years Programme (MYP). The standard contact load for full-time teachers is 27 periods per week, within a range of 26-28 periods in a 39-period week. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual who will ensure that Visual Arts remain a vibrant part of our IB programmes and contribute to the physical environment of the school.
IST is also in search of a full-time teacher for Economics (IBDP) and Individuals and Societies (MYP). Similar to the Visual Arts position, the standard contact load is 27 periods per week (26-28 periods in a 39-period week).
